The vast majority of media players work the same way. All your audio files are displayed in a playlist and you can use a search function to find a particular song, instead of scrolling through a long list. If you need information about a certain artist or album, while playing a track, you need to go online, to Wikipedia or other web sites. Musique will change the way you listen to music on your computer. It will organize your audio tracks right after loading them and it will find album covers, tag information, as well as lyrics. Apart from loading your audio files and playing them, there is nothing else you need to do.

Musique is part of a larger suite of excellent applications, which are designed to help you view YouTube videos, find online music or in this case, organize your audio files with greater ease and comfort. There are different versions available, which can be used on Windows, Mac OS X or Linux. The setup file can be downloaded in a few seconds and it will install the software just as fast, after you click an Install button.

If you run the application for the first time, you will have to select your music folder. You can either click a button to select the one in your Documents folder immediately or browse for a different one. When loading audio files, most media players will just throw them into a playlist, according to the order of their parent folders. This is not the case with Musique. After selecting a music folder, all tracks will be organized automatically into albums and by their artists.

Musique will also find various tag information, lyrics and album covers and it will associate them with your tracks automatically. The application will use the found pictures to show the albums and artists as thumbnails on the main area of the interface. You can view them separately by clicking their designated navigation tabs. A third tab will display the contents of your music folder and you can navigate through it, just like in Windows Explorer.

If you hover with the mouse cursor over a thumbnail, a Play icon will be displayed. Clicking this icon will add the contained audio tracks to a playlist, on the right side of the interface. In this way, you can add an entire album or an artist's whole discography with a single click. The added tracks are separated in the playlist, according to their albums. While playing a song, you can view general information about the artist, album and the tracks's lyrics, on the same window, after clicking an option, located on the interface's toolbar.

Pros

Musique offers the same playback options as other media players. Additionally, it associates various information with your tracks automatically. Once you load your music, the application will organize it neatly, by artists and albums and you can add multiple tracks to a playlist with a single click.

Cons

It is not possible to edit a track's tag information. While using Musique, all you have to do is listen to your favorite music. It organizes audio tracks and finds tag information, album covers or lyrics, so you don't have to do it yourself.
